A Real Man…

…loves the Lord with everything he has! (Matthew 22:36-38)

…has integrity. (Proverbs 10:9)

…loves his wife (or sisters in Christ) and knows that she is special. (1 Peter 3:7, Ephesians 5:28)

…is self-controlled. (1 Timothy 3:2)

…is hospitable and able to teach. (1 Timothy 3:2)

…leads his family well and demands the respect of his children in the most loving way possible. (1 Timothy 3:4

…does not get drunk or violent! He doesn’t quarrel.  (1 Timothy 3:3)

…does not love money. (1 Timothy 3:3)

A Real Man…

…treat older woman as well as younger women with respect and as mothers and sisters. (1 Timothy 5:2)

…takes care of his body. (Ephesians 5:29)

…treats others as he wants to be treated. (Luke 6:31, Matthew 7:12)

…speaks the truth, but says it lovingly. (Psalm 15:2)

…does not talk bad about people. (Psalm 15:3)

…encourages younger men and sets an example. (Titus 2:6-7)

…works hard for the Lord. (Psalm 128:2)

…respects and fears the Lord. (Psalm 128:1,4)

A Real Man…

…walks with the Lord. (Psaml 128:1)

…doesn’t judge because of what’s on the outside. (John 7:24)

…trusts in the Lord. (Psalm 56:3-4, Psalm 27:1)

…has courage. (1 Corinthians 16:13)

…is strong, but only with God. (1 Corinthians 16:13)

…embraces the fact that God gave him a spirit of power not timidity. (2 Timothy 1:7)

…provides for his family. (1 Timothy 5:8)

…gets through the trials of life and does not blame God. (James 1:12-13)

…does not boast and control people with his authority. He sacrifices for them and leads by example. (1 Peter 5:3, Ephesians 5:25)

A Real Man…

…is NOT lazy! ( Hebrews 6:12)

…has compassion. (Psalm 103:13)

…is not perverse. (Proverbs 3:32)

…has knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 17:27) actually look up this verse and see what knowledge and understanding are in the Bible.

…does not discourage his kids. So when you have kids, don’t put them down. (Colossians 3:21)

…thinks only about good stuff. (Phillipians 4:8, Psalm 101:3)

…does not lust after women. He runs from sex when it is being used wrong. (Matthew 5:28, 1 Corinthians 6:18)

…clings to his wife. He does not leave her. (Genesis 2:24)

…fights against the enemy. (Deuteronomy 20:4)

A Real Man…

…is keeping himself pure for his wife. (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8)

…forgives. (Matthew 18:21-22)

…doesn’t get back at people. (1 Peter 3:9, Proverbs 24:29, Proverbs 24:17)

…prays and worships God in groups openly. He isn’t ashamed of what others might think. (Mark 8:38)

…can look at a girl without impurity. (Proverbs 20:11)

…is a gentleman. (1 Peter 3:7)

…does not make gross jokes. (Ephesians 5:4

A Real Man…

…is JOYFUL! (1 Thessalonians 5:16)

…can laugh! (Job 8:21)

…can take constructive criticism. (Proverbs 12:1)

…knows he is sinful and strives to overcome it. (Romans 3:23, 1 John 1:8)

… acts like a man (1Corinthians 16:13)

Hey, I just want to let you know how much I love this (and the ‘A Real Woman’ as well). I’m copying them both (I hope you don’t mind) to put up on my wall in my dorm room.

I think it’s really great that you’re doing this blog. I know God is having you write it for a reason, just as He showed it to me for a reason. I’m hooked.
