1st Corinthians 16:13

Be on your guard; stand firm in faith; be men of courage; be strong.

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to show courage? Were you aware of the problem that was arising? What did you do to solve it? I know that I have been in many of these circumstances. Some of these for example were sticking up for a friend at school, breaking up a fight when I didn’t really want to, and attending church when I really wanted to go to a special event. These times were pretty hard for me but I did one thing, and that was to look to God when I needed help. According to Hebrews 13:5 the Lord says “He will never leave us, nor forsake us.” The Lord is saying here that when the tough times come around and you feel frail, scared and don’t know what to do, then you need to look to God through prayer for his guidance, and trust him that he will give you the courage you need to stand up for what is right and for what is good.

He then says in Luke 19:17 “Well done, my good servant!” his master replied. “Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.” This goes with my last paragraph saying if you can stand up and have courage with the small things in life then when the big problems arise, the Lord will be there to give you the courage then, to do great things because nothing is too big for the Lord to handle.
