I am doing an awesome Bible study at school on a book called “Forgotten God” by Francis Chan. If you ever get a chance to read it, do it! It’s such a good book! You can get it for like $2 on Amazon and it’s totally worth it!

Anyway, last week, through the conversation, one of the guys gave this analogy.

Have you ever had a fly in your car? The annoying bug that buzzes all around you while you’re driving. You try to open you window and coax it out, but it’s too stupid to leave. You give it an out. You try to help it see freedom. Because what happens if it stays in your car? It will die. Sometimes we are like the fly. We are stuck in our sin and we don’t know how to get out. We can’t see that God is trying to help us. He gives us an out and tries to guide us out the “window” to freedom! No more being a slave to sin!

“Our desire to live should be for the sake and glory of the God who put us on this earth in the first place.” -Francis Chan
