About me

Hey! My name is Kelly and I am an 18 year old girl and I love jr. high and high school students! I have a heart for my peers, and I hate that my friends are constantly hurt because of relationships, when relationships are supposed to be a good thing! I believe that our society lies to us all the time about what a relationship should be, how we should handle it, and what is okay.

I have 2 brothers, a sister-in-law, a nephew, mom, a dad, and a new sister-in-law come December :)

My life revolves around God, friends, family, laughing, and doing what God wants in my life! My Jesus has been shaping me and breaking me into the woman He wants me to be. But trust me, He’s got a lot of work ahead of Him still!

I’m a sister, friend, daughter, writer, and opinionated follower of Jesus Christ. If you give me Starbucks with a good friend, awesome conversation, and time with my family…I’m SO there!

  • What makes me happy? Godly friends and family,  Music, conferences filled with teenagers, and orange.

Background: I grew up in a Christian home with two wonderful parents! Life’s been interesting with two older brothers, no sisters, and being the only girl. My family loves to laugh, so give us a good story (or 25) and we will be happy!

Best activities ever: Laughing, Talking, Chillin’ with friends, Christmas with the whole family, walking, rollerblading, volleyball, back yard sports, hanging out with Jr. high and high school students, pretty much anything :)

Favorite color: Orange, red, and yellow (I know, I know, that’s three…)

Favorite sports: Volleyball and football

Countries visited: Guatemala, Canada, England, Ireland, and Scotland.

Special talents: I’m double Jointed in my fingers, toes, elbows, and wrists..I’m not sure if that’s a talent or not.

Funny fact: When I was in 6th grade all the way up to freshman year, my friends called me Chippy (short for chipmunk) because I had such chubby cheeks.

Favorite Bible verse: “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.”- Isaiah 54:10

Hey Kelly, great site and you thoughts are right on track. You are blessed with insight and a great heart. I look forward to sharing both with my Vacation Bible School students and with my clients in the weeks ahead. May God bless your walk and your ministry.
I never get tired of hearing “The Water Buffalo Song”.

Hey Kelly,

I just want to let you know that I put up your “A Real Man” list on my dorm room wall (right next to my door, so a lot of people see it). It’s been a big encouragement to me, and it has drawn the attention of many visitors. I also gave your “A Real Woman” list to a friend, which she has greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for continuing this blog. God bless.
